Editorial policy
Clear Beauty Review aims to make beauty topics easier to examine and harder to oversimplify. We distinguish explanation from opinion, avoid presenting product claims as established fact, and correct meaningful errors when they come to light.
Accuracy and clarity
We check wording, context and the strength of claims before publication. When discussing ingredient lists or product descriptions, we explain what the information can and cannot establish rather than implying that a label predicts an individual's experience. Articles about images and history identify interpretation as interpretation. If reliable information is incomplete or uncertain, we make that uncertainty visible.
Independence and commercial material
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly identified where it appears, so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee an editorial mention, and a mention is not a personal endorsement.
Corrections and illustrations
If you spot a material error, contact us with the article and the detail in question. We review correction requests and amend published material when a change is warranted, making significant corrections clear in the article. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where this applies, we label the illustration so it is not mistaken for documentary evidence.
Beauty is worth a closer look
Products, images and beauty ideals all carry choices. We unpack them carefully, leaving room for personal taste and a change of mind.
